Maths question

One quick question , did the other three people use your tape ?????

its a metal shed, yeah i could make it the full 8 foot but not right now, bike will have to live under cover for now.

right I'm an Idiot 🙄 BUT i'm blaming it on my Dyslexia, I measured it in inch's and it worked out, so back in cm's it measured 214cm, so the boards should of been 107cm wide. thats the dead centre.
but I can't vouch for the others who agreed with my first measurement ?????? maybe they are Idiots too 😁
I tend to measure anything under an inch in mm's and anything over in feet and inch's. but the boards at B&Q are metric. thats what threw me.

So is b@q wood correct measurements, I got some cut there a while back ,5 pieces out of a 8x4 sheet , every length was 3mm to long , doesn't sound much but unit i was making had a 1mm plus or minus tolerance , had to recut 2 sides of every piece

no their not mm perfect, and either is their cutting 🤪 at least it was at out store.
 
I'm just waiting on a 14x10 foot slab to be laid so I can get my workshop and actually determining the base size is not obvious. Often the sizes are for the overall size where the eaves overhang etc is counted as the size. Very confusing and like bikertoe if the bikes won't fit it will be very frustrating.

it certainly is Peter 👍 living right next to the Irish sea we get some dodgy weather and high winds, wasn't happy with the bike sat out under a cover flapping away at it 😲
