Hi,

Well, I was at Japfest yesterday, not in the guise of an Elgrand owner, as I havn't got one just yet, but in my Mitsubishi GTO that is just back on the road after an 8 year rest!!

I passed the 'Spit 'N' Shine' section and what should I see there but Fresh and Minty's bus! It certainly looks a nice car up close and personal and stood out from all the T5s dotted about the place. The only other Elgrands I saw was a grey Rider, one of the stall holders had and an E50 over in one of the clubs in the fields.

Other than the lack of Elgrands, is was a good day, lots of sun and sunburn !

Did you win anything @freshandminty ??

I wish I could have afforded to go to this. Was gutted to miss it

Fortunately, we only live just over an hour away (well, a bit less, depending on how fast you drive!) and got the tickets early, so saved £7 !

I will be coming to JAE probably as well, if I havn't got an Elgrand by then though, it will be in the GTO again!

Thanks for the post farbow. It was a good day and a nice change to get sunburn there! :)

I didn't win but didn't think I would for one bit - I was chuffed to even make it in the show n shine!

The e50 owner introduced himself to me, said he's a member but not sure if it was this Elgrand club. :D

Also had a good chat to the guy from the wheel specialists in Cardiff who owned the grey one (actually a highway star ;) )

@freshandminty it was great to see thr fruits of all your labour inthe flesh(metal!).

It is indeed a unique vehicle! I was with my eldest who had not seen an Elgrand himself before so he was very excited.

Although, I had to reasure him that when we get ours, it won't be getting the shaggy headlining treatment !!

I didn't particularly want a white Elgrand, but seeing yours, I am not so sure it would be that bad. OUr problem is living at the end of a half mile forest track means any vehicle is filthy before it hits the main road !!

Good work, hope to meet up at another event either before or after I have an Elgrand !

Cheers,

Jonathan
