Hi all,

I picked up my Elgrand yesterday and insured it. However today my insurance company have contacted me querying if it has one with it being an import. When purchasing I said it was factory fitted as when the seller showed me the car he accidentally set the alarm/immobiliser off by mistake so it 100% has one
 
Yep it's a factory fitted immobiliser.... mine doesn't have an alarm though 🤔🤔
 
So how would I prove this to my insurance do you reckon? It’s a weird one never had to do this before ha!
 
To be honest I wouldn't know. When taking out My insurance online.. the form asked if it had a factory fitted immobiliser which I ticked yes..they accepted that... maybe another member may have the answer...

Sterling insurance - I just ticked factory fitted alarm too so quite surprised why they’re asking. Just a difficult one to prove when they’re asking for the name of the immobiliser and other stuff
 
I have the same problem with sterling as well. Did they accept the fact it is a Nat's immobilizer?
