Has anyone found a decent 12v heater to run from a cig lighter plug

As title says ,im asking advice about a 12v heater that would run off a cig lighter plug , my wife jukes heater blower has failed so needs replaced , it looks a horrible job on my back inthe drivers footwell for quite a while , so looking for a quick fix (external heater ) to demise windscreen and take chill off car , ive looked on amazon but the reviews basically slate everyone ive looked at , cheers
 
Wonder if you could fix some sort of fan to the ventilation inlet to blow air through from the outside. It would pass by the heater matrix and the windscreen vents if it worked.
 
The biggest problem for 12V heaters that run off a cig lighter socket is they can never chuck out much heat because of the power limitations of the cig lighter socket, 12V at 10Amp is only 120Watts. Maybe if they actually do chuck out 120Watts it'd be enough to help defrost a windscreen but you wouldn't want to aim it at just a small area of windscreen in case it caused it to crack so would need to set it some distance away.
 
Heater motor would be much easier to change on a left hand drive Juke.

Tend to find that kind of thing a lot on cars in general... If the market for cars that'll be sold is mostly left hand drive it'll probably be designed with left hand drive more in mind so access to components that might need to be changed is easier on the left hand drive model than right hand drive model. In this case changing the motor on a left hand drive Juke wouldn't involve much more dismantling than removing the glove box but on the right hand drive car you might need to remove the pedals or steering column.. They don't make the heater box on right hand drive cars a mirror image of the heater box on left hand drives, they use the same heater box so on the left hand drive car the motor is accessed from the passenger side and on the right hand drive it's accessed from the drivers side. Same kind of thing all the way back to the engine and gearbox being the same, so on right hand drive cars the drivers side is usually 'busy' under the bonnet with the brake servo being on same side of the engine etc. Or if they do put stuff in mirror image positions inside it still means stuff under the bonnet is probably more difficult to access or involves extra parts like a bar from the top of the brake pedal across the bulkhead to reach the brake servo on the passenger side.

Totally , literally take glove box out and u have access to heater blower motor , right hand drive at best is strip all the under dash out and take clutch pedal out for access , ive even seen someone say steering column has to come out , hope he is wrong lol , and all this lying on your back in the footwell lol
 
also taking out the front seat might be easier as well especially if you're on the large side like me

Taking seat out will help , and yes im not the smallest , but I do have a problem lying on my back looking up to work , been told its vertigo,but its got worst over years ,
 
I did a NV200 and jacked the side of the car up high that makes it a bit easier Then you don't have to lay on your back
