Exhaust Set Up Advice

I’m after some advice really after searching the internet and not really getting anywhere.

I have just picked up an E51 HWS S2 and I want to sort an exhaust muffler that sounds nice but nothing crazy but without the drone on a long motorway cruise. As this was my experience in my younger days with a modified cilo it made motorways the worst.

I have been looking for nismo back boxes online and wondering if this will be enough. And I have seen on here that there’s someone that makes mid boxes, so that got me thinking of sorting the system down the line a bit more.

Any recommendations on set ups are welcome.

Back boxes alone don't make much difference sound wise, the centre box does the majority of the silencing.

Full custom exhaust, 2 sports cats, straight through center box, proper one, rear silencers with removable straight through bypass pipes, silent on a run and loud when you fit pipes, it's what I did on my last silly car
