Exhaust headache

If you want to get it right from the off and can afford it get Geraint's (Elementian) sports primary front cats which I have seen in the flesh and are a work of art and will fit and line up exactly.

I have also heard them on his Elgrand and I am certain you will not be disappointed. (even more so when he has the valve open which cuts out the mid box on his custom exhaust)

Pair it with one of his mid and and back boxes with your choice of twin exit pipes although I think he only makes the back boxes for the Highway Star.

I have had a 18inch mid box on my Elgrand since 2019 made by Geraint which was one of the 1st he ever made and it is still as good as new.

Then have a decent straight pipe setup made using these which although you may need to shop around to find someone who is prepared to do the primary front cats but is something that any decent custom exhaust fabricators should be capable of doing and get them to fit Geraints parts at the same time.

Most likely too far for you but I am pretty certain that this company would do it although could maybe work if you picked up the exhausts from Geraint as he is only about 40 miles away

They have worked on a couple of my cars in the past and there work is top quality and fair prices and although they have never worked on my Elgrand I do know that they do quite a bit of work on Elgrands and unlike some who will only fit the parts they supply I know that they will fit and fabricate a system around the parts you supply which is what I had them do on my other cars

This won't be cheap but you will have complete peace of mind regarding the cat issue, an awesome looking and sounding exhaust system and never need to worry about it again as it will probably outlive your Elgrand by some margin

So just a reply from Tony Banks re front cats. And they won't touch then as it activated the engine check light. I do like the idea of the elemntian sports cats, but no one e local will touch them
 
Pretty certain that Steve at Tojo could change the primarys for you.

He is in Beverly which I would think was fairly close to you.

You could order the primarys, mid box and back box from Geriant and then get Steve to fit the primarys and refit your existing system so your Elgrand is drivable and then all you need do is get the rest of the system built using Geriants mid and rear.

I don't know your area at all but I am certain this would not be too difficult

Ah perf3ct ,It's only 10 mins from me. Indidnpop up there last week but just missed him. I will pop to see him again. Looks like I'll be living off beans for the next year
