Abit lost and could use some help. We have had our first MOT with our Japanese import and the garage are saying they can not find the fog lights and we need to get them installed before they will pass the MOT. Previous MOTs prior to our ownership have passed it, so it's all abit strange.
Two questions
Are they hidden somewhere that I can direct them to
If I need to get some installed, how do I go about that.

Apologies if this is a stupid people question but I do not know the first thing about cars!
 
Should have been done by whoever imported it. It's essential for the mot although some have been known to "turn a blind eye".
There should be a switch with a light on it. May not be obvious - mines in a bit of an odd place below the steering wheel. Have a hunt around and you may find it.
 
Rear fog light/s are often concealed in the rear light cluster - importers use red bulbs wired into other designated bulb holders.
 
It's often the case that a dodgy dealer will get a dodgy MOT to save them the hassle of fitting a rear fog light which Elgrands don't have as standard as it's not required in Japan. If there is no fog light switch in the cab then it means it hasn't been done. Most often the switch will be placed in the row of switches down by the drivers right knee.

If a fog light hasn't been fitted then you'll need to have it done for an MOT. It's a pretty easy job for a competent person.
