Anyone looking for a tow bar for there E52 , found this on a search of the Internet. May be of interest to somebody. Ofm4x4 is the company.

Yeh , just what I was thinking . Been intouch and there going to see if they can design a detachable one . Mind that one is £ 450 .
I'm sure dave at vineplace said they had fitted a tow bar to a E52 but I'm not sure . If there are no towbar for them looks like I'm sticking to my NE51.

I'm still not 100% happy regarding towing a caravan with the E52 because of thegearbox ie CVT . Some suggestions have been to fit a gearbox oil cooler , but nobody has actually come out and said they tow with an E52 .
 
@Simon58 - Did you eventually manage to get this installed? How did it go and what's been your experience?

Im looking to install one but rather than for something heavy like a caravan, I need mine for a towbar box. Not very heavy but works brilliantly due to the disappointingly lack of boot space on the E52 :-(
