HI Guys, i currently own an e51 2.5v6 looking to change it up and looking at the e52. anyone here drivng the CVT 4 cylinder? must be very underpowered for the size?
and thier front wheel drive arent they?
probaly easier to work on than the v6?

You might want to check out Life Elgrand's videos on Youtube. General consensus is that the E52 is a bit more car like than the E51 and the CVT box is bit Marmite.

@alanb76 Marmite is a yeast based spread, I love it but some strange people don't like it. My cousins in South Australia prefer Vegemite, they are also strange.

Hi @alanb76
I had an E51 3.5v6 and now an E52 2.5i4. To answer your questions
- underpowered, not really but I do miss the torque of the V6. Don't miss the regular trips to fill her up
- yes front wheel drive
- there is a little bit more space in the engine bay but haven't really had the need to do anything major to it so can't say if it is easier to work on.

As many have said, the E52 is more of a car than a van. I bought one as the E51 was 21 years old and I wanted something newer and less thirsty.
