How will the Elgrand be effected taking into account that it is a import, I have seen some scare stories of some vehicles attracting 760 tax for the year. I have a e52 3.5l by the way. Are we going to be lumped into the high bracket. Thankyou in advance for replies to this post šŸ«

Don't think they'll be much change on imports. Will still be taxed the old fashioned way as plg under or over a certain cc
 
Hi thanks for a swift reply and I believe you are correct as I think they will not change the classification of our elgrands from PLG, thank God nearly had a heart attack thinking it might jump right up into the higher rate.

They'll be a lot up for sale I imagine, if it did change to the new emissions/engine size style tax. But think were safe

I am firmly not one for conspiracy theories or accepting statements without facts or science but I feel the media has a lot to answer for when it comes to trying to panic drivers over changes to the industry. The Tax situation is one of them, all I have seen personally is aggressive headlines telling people "Your tax will rise" without much context or detailed information, its reminds me so much of almost a propaganda style approach to influencing the public. Another one being the whole E5 & E10 petrol argument, panicking folks into thinking that their engines are going to blow up.

Anyway...thats my rant for today
