Had my E51 for 7 years.
Each renewal has always been higher than the previous year and in recent times almost doubled!
Of course I changed companies each year to keep it somewhere near the acceptable mark.
This is the first year my renewal , this time with Aviva, has arrived 15 quid cheaper for the year. Last year was 420, now it will be 405. This is 17 years protected no claims and car value set at 4,000 ( Difficult to set a worth). Is the insurance industry now back on the straight and narrow?
It went a bit mental during the bull shit years (COVID). There seemed to be no regulation of the industry at all.
Anyone else had a positive renewal for the first time ever?

Maybe they have valued it less coz it's so rusty .

Just renewed my insurance - low mileage and retired. Last year £214 with Direct Line and free Green Flag breakdown cover - they now want £313 which is one heck of an increase. Recently taken over by Aviva. Price comparison quotes - best offer £243 with basic RAC breakdown cover - Aviva Zero (1,000 mile carbon offset) - worth an extra £1 over Aviva Standard since lower excess and going via Go Compare there's free £250 excess cover also £60 flight/travel card. There is a cheaper Aviva Essentials but it gets poor reviews.
Normally use Money Supermarket.
As a member, I also tried Co-op Insurance - entered all my details and at the end they told me they couldn't insure an Elgrand - complete waste of time. Some of the other sites, eg Mustard and Top Cashback, use Confused.com so little point trying them.
Every year to get the best deal I end up changing insurer despite government efforts to stop insurance companies price gouging.

Ah, Cato! & @Deano Have you tried Elephant insurance? I found them via - https://www.moneyexpert.com/ - never used them before but got a cracking deal, apparently a subsidiary of Admiral who wouldn’t insure me!

It's really just a lottery
If your lucky it's good
If not it's not so good
Me I'm stuck at £400 but I'm happy with that

I’ve always had good prices with admiral. Did go up last year but came straight back down again
