Mine never used to do this, but now It's stupidly bad ,today for example wanted something from the boot drivers door shuts in the wind , before I have reached the boot the doors have locked ,couple of seconds I reckon ,unlock the doors, shut the boot walk back to the drivers side and locked again ,sometimes the sliding doors also do it before I have even managed to open them so they lock in a semi open position ,not sure what muppet thought auto door locking was a good idea but any way to turn if off for a 2003 model ?

Does your drivers door turn the interior light on? I’m thinking that if the switch in the pillar was faulty or not grounding to earth (for example) then car wont know door has been opened so it will lock after a short while.
You could possibly prove this by unlocking and opening the passenger door although this assumes that switch is working.

It's a security feature that relocks the car if you unlock but don't open a door within a given time period. I don't know that it can be disabled. Door switches do fail on Elgrands and if they do it's also possible to lock the keys in the car.

If I’m going to be messing in the car and not driving I always unlock and turn the ignition on and off and don’t seem to have the problem of doors locking ( ignition on or start without turning off and locking and the bus assumes your still in it I think)
I also put the keys in my pocket cos some on here have now made me paranoid lol

I think that's the problem, I did disconnect the door switch to stop the annoying beeping when it's open ,forgot about that ,thanks !
