Off to test another XL on Saturday, but what is this? I thought maybe Bluetooth but it already has a pioneer aftermarket double din fitted 🤔 answers on a post card 🤣

Thanks for your help, I may just tag you directly in all of my queries 🤣 We couldn't get any sound out of the aftermarket unit today on the test drive, wife connected her phone to pioneer unit and it showed it was playing but zero sound (turned volume up on steering wheel and the head unit) guessing we just missed a button 🤷🏻‍♂️ was originally Bose.
 
Bose has an underseat amp which is triggered on by the original HU. Trigger signal needs dealing with when fitting aftermarket gear.

Yeah that's what I thought, looks like its been fitted for a while, also the ad mentioned it having UK Sat nav/DVD, they are a trusted source too (Vine Place) so I've no reason to suspect it's not functional, hence my thinking I'd missed something.
