Does anyone know, please, if it’s possible to find a way of fitting CarPlay into an old E51 (mine is 55 reg) without spoiling/replacing the nice wood effect trim on the central console? I tried looking here, but couldn’t see anything quite on topic.

relatedly, the audio hasn’t worked at all on radio or CD since we got it - the place we bought are being helpful, but seem a bit stuck.

You can skip the video interface if you don't need rear seat entertainment, but you will need a Video in Motion lead from @LeStempy if your Elgrand doesn't already have one.
