...........as the title suggests - I'm not a local and looking for somewhere picturesque to enjoy a freshly made coffee while gawping out the back windows.
 
I suppose there is Rufford Ford if you want to sit and watch idiots in cars, I expect it is quite full at the moment.
 
Amazing views from the top of Breedon on the Hill and nearby Melbourne is an unspoilt town worth a look round.

Wollaton Park is only minutes away. If you have few hours drive to Matlock, Buxton, Peak District
