Has anyone removed the volume cluster from the steering wheel before? Had a quick search but couldn't find a definitive answer, mine are redundant after the vine place unit has been fitted and I'd like a bit more space to see the cruise stalk I'm going to fit 👍🏻

Only asking as I'm not near the car to check 😂

It would be cool if the switches were repurposed to operate your cruise and not have the (possibly vulnerable to misuse) non-moving stalk.

This is an excellent idea as two of the buttons don't work for the audio, just needs a couple of resistors to mimic the cruise stalk.

The telephone and speak buttons are linked to the phone system and are redundant, you could lose one more button and still have volume control.

I don't have volume control as it is anyway 😂
