Yesterday I bought an aerosol can of paint to touch up my E51. Paint code KYO - Polar Silver? I went to a local automotive paint supplier (Border Automotive) and they recognised the colour code and proceeded to show me 7 slightly different colour swatch cards since there are apparently that number of known variants, so we took them outside to get a perfect match to my vehicle and they mixed up an aerosol for me (they also do the small touchup pots with a brush in the cap).
Earlier in the week I had some corner damage repaired by a mobile guy (old chap in a Mercedes caught it while parking - stove in his rear side door and wheelarch but luckily my damage was just paint scrapes due to the bumper and light surround flexing)- he told me that the amount of pink and blue in the mix is critical while Border thought it had come out a little yellow - obviously mixing paint is very complex!)
You can buy aerosol cans over the internet but based on my experience I recommend taking your Elgrand to a specialist supplier to get the correct match, especially since the paint on a 20 year old vehicle can fade/oxidise.
