How do you tell if it's an SIII?

Hi all, I'm still looking for the perfect one but I've researched and researched and id like an SIII/ Series 3 either Ryder or HWS. but how do you tell or can you tell it's a SI,SIII OR SIII if the seller doesn't know??

I'm looking at one at the moment and it's a 2007 but according to Vine Place website 2007 is on the. Boarder of both SII &SIII

Headlights on S2 are clear whilst S3 have blue lense. Series 3 also have an integrated multimedia dash whilst s2 generally have a double din aftermarket stereo fitted.

This old post should help , s3 is the bottom picture

2007 is the crossover year for the Series 2 and Series 3 model. The entertainment systems are very different, the Series 3 had a big upgrade and it is more built in to the car. Until you know which series you have you won't know your options and be able to start thinking about what you can do.

This picture of the centre console should help you work out which series you have.

Does that apply to a 57 plate Ryder or just the Highway Star

The issue arises as a lot of s2 and s3 stuff is interchangeable. The Rider has same grill and bumpers etc fitted even if it's a series 2 or 3 from my understanding. The best way to confirm series 2 or 3 is the stereo system as everything else is easily swapped and switched over.
