I do, not Elaine Paige though. Have to turn radio off then. Another job on the list

Hopefully nearing my 10-posts...

Thanks

your actually on 12.
you past the 10 point a couple of times but the silly one word posts and other spam will have been removed by admin who have replied to you, perhaps you should read as well as write?

Yippee! Made it.

Received no replies advising.

Just following rules 🙂

nope, Planet rock all day long. 😁

I thankfully like radio 2 and don't mind Elain Paige but not her Sunday musicals show

I have gone back to picking up CDs for peanuts and loading them onto the music box.
I also have a few CF cards with MP3s or for longer journeys, can connect the phone for streaming.

Both my E51's are series 1's so don't have music box. One still has the factory setup with CD and minidisc player, usual radio limited to Radio2 but if/when I get bored of that I use a bluetooth FM transmitter to stream stuff from Youtube. I have never even tried the CD player or Minidisk player even though as an ex DJ I have thousands of CD's, lots of Minidisks and hundreds of data CDs and DVDs each containing many albums stored in MP3 format. I once catalogued (wrote a little program that catalogued them automatically) all the albums stored in MP3 format but I can't remember which hard drive I stored the catalogue on many years ago lol. I do have a catalogue for most of the playable CDs. Never did catalogue the many cases of vinyl records I still have. Have all the kit to change this E51's setup to a double din, even the double din to fit in it, just never got around to it on this daily driver (black) Elgrand. My silver E51 does have a double din Android type thing fitted, it was fitted when I bought it.

Just stream radio Caroline to your radio. Sorted.

I fitted a chromecast to the rca inputs so just use YouTube for all my incar music needs.

In a word, No.

Problem is Radio 2 bosses hiring "celebs" who don't know how to do radio. Local radio can be far better and it's odd they never get promoted to Radio 2 - presumably don't have agents paying backhanders.... Glad Scott Mills got fired - by heck he was boring. Meanwhile Jeremy Vine is as thick as mince.

Recently found vintage episodes of Steve Wright afternoon show on Youtube - slick zoo format at its best. Also miss the Terry Wogan/Jimmy Young handovers - showing my age there...

Prefer Radio 6, and Simon Mayo on Greatest Hits Radio despite the adverts.

Absolute Radio.

As a side note, my temporary dab magnetic stick on aerial that has been on mine for years, and doubles as a height warning for low height parking is not so good down on the South Coast, so going to try an active stick on windscreen aerial next, before I have to start drilling holes in the roof..
