Love the conversion looks very neat! But I need 6 seats

Ordered our towbar last week so will be able to take the boat out....well with the family or 1 other during these isolated times.

Spent the day so far tidying up the engine bay on my E50

Then a couple of hours cleaning up the donor engine

Very pleased with slow progress ...

The air intake valves/flaps left and right where you see my thumb do not move together..
Should they??
If I push down the right hand side goes in ...the left one moves but the push arm doesnt ..see LAST photo.

I have a spare .should I be expecting the two to move together ??

Your doing a great job Jon! Looks very nice and clean in there. Great starting point for your engines new life.

Im sorry i cant help on your question of intake flaps for the E50. Looks like, even if not physically connected together, the vacuum would have the same effect on both actuators, therefore they would both open at the same time? idk ๐Ÿค•

Good luck!

Yes I'm working on the same assumption the one on engine is from donor van so I can easily swap while engine still on crane..

They look pretty big and not sure you might need domed ones? Iโ€™d have a look on eBay.

Repaired my broken side skirt, and thought I'd tidy up the other side while I was at it ๐Ÿ˜ All prep'd and ready for paint just need the warm weather to come back!
