The new automatic member map has just been updated...

Updates:

You can now view member details on mobile devices as you can on a desktop/laptop
When you zoom out, rather than seeing a sea of pins, members are grouped into a location. If you click on that location, it will zoom in and split it out until you get to individual pins.

This keeps the map cleaner and easier to read.

PLEASE CHECK WHERE YOUR PIN IS LOCAETD

As some members have reported, the pin locating system is based on the IP address you are logged in with. If you have used more than one IP address, with more than one location, your pin may not be where you expect it to be.
If you have looked and still cannot find your pin, please comment in this thread and I will do my best to locate you... as long as you have 10 posts on the forum, you will be on the map, somewhere.
There are members here who have US based ISP's (Internet Service Providers). As such, their pins are on the wrong side of the Atlantic.

Enjoy.

@Malcolmworth and @Frogeyepete - you don't need to submit your address information as the pins are put onto the map automatically based on your IP address.

Go to https://whatismyipaddress.com/ and it should give you a city. You will most likely find your pin there. A lot of ISP's (especially on mobiles) will have an IP address in a big city, rather than your local area... which means your pin could be well off from your actual location.

I had to search the whole world over to find @Hoobajoob, but eventually found him in Leicester.

@Frogeyepete - I'm sure I've seen your pin around the London area.

There appears to be a bug with the system in that it will not expand 2 pins with the same IP address... as you know mobile networks and ISP's often give the same IP address to numerous people at the same time, so your pin could be put in exactly the same location as others. Due to the grouping of the pins, this means you cannot split them out, which is a bit of a pain. I am working with the developer at the moment to iron this out.

hmmmmm I can't find myself either :eyes::eyes::eyes::eyes:

Found myself and moved the pin to correct location

Think the problem was, that I was/am using a South of Spain IP address, so it located me here. Have moved pin back so hopefully it will stay in sunny London (Its been bucketing down with rain here over the last few days - said that just to make those members who think Spain is always sunny, feel a bit better!) :)

Relocated my 📍.
