Hi Guys, any ideas for Elgrand Highway Star 2.5 tyres (camper conversion)

I'm running Vredestein Quatrac pro all seasons, I can honestly say they're the best tyres I have ever had. They have been great in Snow, Ice, heavy rain, Summer, Mud and sand.

It's a bit like saying which oil should I use. Everyone has an opinion and there's no definitive answer. It depends really on how you use the vehicle, different tyres have different properties. Do a bit of online research with your requirements.

That's one I haven't heard of those, they sound expensive.

As suggested above , it all depends on on what you need from them , cross climates seem to get a good review on here

You're probably right but I was hoping that someone with a camper conversion would come up with a suggestion. After all, this is part of my research.

What is the tyre size/profile on your Elgrand?
I think they are 215/60/R17 96H. They were on the car when I bought it in 2017, so I think it's about time to change them. Apparently, future MOT's are going to be much stricter on the age of tyres.

maybe a harder side wall for stability

Personally, with that size I'd go Continental Premium Contact 7 for a high rated summer tyre. The reviews of that tyre are fantastic.
If you were going all season tyres, I'd go Pirelli Cinturto AllSeason SF3
Depends on your use of course; no all season tyre will come close to that Premium Contact 7 in almost any road condition (except snow) at 7 degrees and over

I don't have a camper conversion. I use Goodyear Vector 4 Seasons. Gen 3. I went for a higher rating than the ones Nisa came with.
Oddly enough it was cheaper to buy them through Asda.

Don't know if campers are necessarily heavier than non campers. There's a lot of weighty stuff that is removed before the conversion. You could find a weighbridge to know for sure.

Thanks for that, I'll check both of those out.👍I use it for camping all year round.

Ok, that's food for thought, I never thought of Asda.

Thinking about it, you're probably right on the weight. I would imagine that a camping forum on Facebook would be a useful place to find out.👍
