My Eli has been on holiday parked in a different part of the garden for a few days but today was the day to return her to her usual spot.

I got in, started the engine (always a worry after a few days idle), engaged reverse and set off. Oh, both mirrors covered in raindrops so better wipe them off. Driver's window down and mirror wiped dry. Passenger side window wound down, I reached across and... with a (usually satisfying but not in this case) loud engine roar we zoomed backwards across the lawn with me lying flat on the passenger seat! In reaching across my foot had slipped and pressed the loud pedal. Oops

We stopped just in time with no harm done to either Eli, the summer house, my truck or my underpants but I thought it then prudent to engage park, the footbrake and get out to wipe the mirror dry (as I should have done).

We walk among you.

Cheers,
John
