SHÜKAI 8 - 16 Oct 22 - Circuit de Haute Saintonge - France

Nice one. I see there are a few being imported now and being converted to E85!

Yes I met a guy who runs a company importing cars from Japan. He said that he has done about 4 or 5 Autech riders. He says that pre 2006 is ok to pass emissions requirements and that his DREAL are sympathetic to our cause 😜.

He did however say that they most probably won't accept a non standard van that deviates from the manufacturers specification i.e. pop top and kitchen conversion. He said he could reg it for me if I remove the pop top etc. (Easy huh? 🤦)

Might be worth an email to your local DREAL and UTAC if you really want to register it here. I know that if there is any gas or electricity installation they are pretty strict on having them changed to French regulations. It's a costly and time consuming business though even for a non converted Elgrand.
