With the unfortunate cancellation due to lack of people available to make it I would like to see if anyone would be interested in trying to do another one at the historic mansion of temple newsam in Leeds.
This is a free place to visit the grounds so will keep the costs to a minimum for anyone who like most of us is scarce of the pennies.
The place is huge and would make for a great meet.
If anyone is either interested or available please put your name on here.
If next Saturday is inconvenient then why not put a date down and Let's see when we can get the most convenient time for everyone to make it.

Name.... How many others ..... colour and model

Dave +1 silver e50

Good luck with it Dave.

I'm having the same trouble trying to drum up support for another South West Meet. I think, down here it's more a holiday problem though. Everyone's away, and people work in the holiday industry at this time of year too.

I know Temple Newsam , as I lived in Huddersfield for 17 years. Lovely spot for a meet, and picnics are a nice chilled way to socialise too, without breaking the bank. Meets shouldn't be too expensive to attend.

Keith.

Not sure how many will go to that one as there's already a meet at 26th July, not going to get people able to go to both, but I'm not aware of who was down for going to that meet.
Good luck with it any way.

That's why I ask for people to put a date that they could be available.
I know the Merseyside one is big but is a fair trek from the other side of the country for those that are in the North, East, South Yorkshire region.
But if another weekend would help then in more than happy to change the date and get a good group there.
If Let's say these 5 or more wanting to go to this one then it goes ahead.
Under 5 then it can be agreed on the Friday if people want it to go ahead.
Seems a fair way to do it.

So me and James makes 2.
3 others to go. So if someone doesn't make the big meet due to diatance or costings then maybe a meet a little closer might be your thing. If not another weekend is always possible.

No problem matey, go for it, not sure of the location of those attending on 26th, but didn't want any members having to choose one or the other, if the locations were midway to them it'd be better trying to organise one larger meet than two to smaller ones. Just wish I could attend them all.
Good luck on your meet and hope it goes well.

This could make a great 2 event in 2 days for meets.
So why not get your names down and do both events in a weekend.
Sat 25th picnic meet and wall around the gardens and grounds for the family.
Sun 26 Brighton meet for the batman record event.
Have yourselves a fun filled weekend.

Well this is looking to be another rather disappointing turnout of interest.
This can only go ahead with your help and support by attending local meets.
So please Let's try and get the Elgrand meets going and get the elgrandoc noticed.

I am really wanting to get to some of these meets and drum up support, but I've not been around much recently and still living on Aldi equivalent super noodles (19p a pack - bargain city!) and freebies from the lovely people I live with :)

5pm is looming and out would be a shame to have to cancel another chance for a day out.
So unless we can get some more names down for this today then It looks like it will have to be another non starter.

I would suggest more than a week or two's notice for arranging meets as most people with families have plans in advance.

I am just waiting for some financial situations to flatten out and then I'll be out and about again to meets, so for very selfish reasons I would like this one to be rescheduled so I can make it

More than happy for it to be re scheduled mate. This is one of the reasons I asked for input as to people's availability in dates to make it better to arrange an event with a good turnout that will get both the forum and the Elgrand noticed.
