I'd like to ask everyone to congratulate @MrRob_in on his new appointment as Forum Moderator.

Robin has been with the club since it's inception in 2015 and has, over the year, imparted his knowledge, experience and advice on members both new and old.

His technical experience has proved to be vital to the club, and I'm sure he's helped many a member to keep their Elgrand running as it should.

He's pretty much always around and here to help.

So give it up for MrRob_in! It's great to have you as part of the team dude!

I'll second that :)

Thank you for your contribution to the club Robin and for taking it a step further and joining the team in a official capacity :)

Good to have you on board :)

Well done Robin.

TBH I was wondering the other day why you weren't already a staff member. You're always here giving out your knowledge and advice and helping members. Top man.

I thought he already was a Mod ahah. May have actually seen him in his Ellie around Clifton area last week?

E: Nope that might have been RobP looking at the map ahah. :p

Congrats mr rob ... thought you have always been a great help with almost everything Elgrand related... your staff now.... hope the uniform fits and brings out the colour in your eyes ... oily boiler suit that fits all...

Any decent forum gets a hard core of selfless and knowledgeable contributors and this forum is no exception -yours and others valuable contribution was part of my decision to get an Elgrand in the first place and your formal recognition is richly deserved.

Many, many thanks.

Well done Rob for your contributions

Nope bypassed York on a1m to take it to Thirsk for my tame(ish) mechanic to fettle, otherwise it's not been more than 10 mile from Selby so far (too worried the cats would explode which would be just my luck ... especially as I only just got away with it last time). ;)

Thank for all the congrats, only reason I hadn't accepted @Karl offer to mod from the beginning was that I only have phone access as I've no computer but I thought what the hell what harm can I do? ....

I'm not touching car myself... I'd break more than I fixed... & it's too cold and windy on my driveway... it was always going up to Thirsk to get serviced thoroughly but Xmas and lack of cash got in the way Everything is getting sorted in one hit.

@MrRob_in my Elgrand's got over 80,000 miles on it and to the best of my knowledge the cats are still fitted and intact. Not given me any grief yet! Going to be taking it on a 300 mile trip next Monday. :p

It'd get a Tony Banks system if I had the money but I really have to save up.

If it's on LPG then you should seriously consider de-coring but if it on petrol 50 are safe enough from cat blockage thanks to single cats each side. It's the two stage system on 51 that is the big risk.

Turns out my 'new' car's cats are showing signs of blockage. Not sure if it's old damage or current ... here's to hoping I've got away lightly for the second time.
