Remember when......

When teachers could verbally and physically abuse their students and turn a blind eye to pupil on pupil violence so that most kids hated school and dreamt of getting out ASAP, which was at 16.

And you could leave at Easter if you were 16 by then. (I wasn't 👎:()
Getting offered the choice of a beating with a chair leg or writing out the school rules a hundred times (like a girl 😮)
Getting thrown in at the deep end of the pool by the PE teacher, not being able to swim was not a valid excuse apparently.
Hated school. :grinning:
 
When your mother knitted you a new stripey jumper with wool pulled out of previously stripey jumpers that you'd grown out of...

Maybe a matching balaclava if you were lucky! 😕
