This is at the ex wife's house. I don't have a drive to park on. I was with the kids this weekend so made use of the facilities. That sofa has been sat there for 2 years, I refuse to put it in my van to take it to the tip and she hasn't got in touch with the council to move it. Haha.

Yeah, they're 20" and the chrome really makes them stand out. I've had so many comments about the wheels haha.

Looks like the birds in Hartlepool have got a really good aim, and managed to shit on my shiny rims

And here is a pic of the LED rear lights. I've also fitted the LED number plate lights that are available on the store. Makes the back end look much fresher!

Well, whilst I was away visiting my parents and introducing them to my lovely new lady, I left my van in the more than capable hands of @Rapperfrapper who gave the van a good deep clean whilst I was away. She got treated to a degrease, snow foam, polish and spray wax. She also had her engine bay cleaned and a few extra little bits added for that VIP look. I was more than impressed with her when I got back. Alan also took her out for a drive to get some pics with his project, Magpie!

First up are the pics of them together as these were taken before he had a chance to wash the bus.

Not really done anything to the van, but gave her a clean this weekend and went looking for somewhere nice to take some pictures... this is what happened :)

Took a couple of pics before we set off... the wheels look amazing in the sunshine.

We then went to a place called Codbeck Reservoir (known locally as "sheepwash", outside a small town called Osmotherly.

Took a few scenic shots and tried using an app called "snapspeed" to edit the images slightly.

Then, on the way back to Hartlepool, we were about 10 minutes too late to catch the sun set... when I pulled over it had just dropped below the horizon, but still got the red/orange sky in the background :D I am insanely pleased with how this photo came out!

Looking great pal!!! Some great snaps you've got there, could do with taking some nice scenic shots of mine when it's clean for longer than an hour! Hope you're enjoying the new ride, anymore mods planned for the near future?

She's booked in for a visit to the body shop for some pampering on Thursday.

In my haste, I managed to reverse into a fence the other week and cracked the paint on the rear bumper. There was also some poor repairs from previous owners done to the rear bumper that are getting sorted. There is a crack next to the nearside foglight on the front bumper. A dent and a scuff in the nearside C pillar. A dent under the drivers door that has been touched up where the paint chipped.

All in, £300 for the repair work being done. Just hope they get it right and don't ruin my baby!

Well got the van back from the body shop, and it was a mess! The parking sensors had been painted over, you could see a big circle on the door where they had painted and not blown in the colour, the C pillar had sanding marks in the paint and the rear bumper hadn't been repaired before it was painted.

So, obviously pissed off, it went back in the following week. Picked up second time, and it was perfect. I assume they had left it last minute first time around and hadn't realised how much work was involved. But, to be fair to them, and the painter, they corrected it all and now I'm a very happy chappy.

You can see a colour mismatch on the door in the picture below, but you can only see it at certain angles. When you look straight on, it looks like a perfect match, but as you move to one side, you start to see the change. I assume this is just to do with the fact that this is fresher paint and has a different gloss to it. I'll see what it's like in a few weeks when the paint has fully hardened and I've had a chance to polish it all up.

But here are the results :)

I went to see Mr @Madfish on Sunday to get some bits done. We investigated why my horn doesn't work... there isn't one! Wonder how it got an MOT? Also tried to fit my new steering wheel, but the Boss is wrong, so need to save up and buy another one before I can fit it. We got the rear screen working so the kids will be happy, but we also found a whole network of cables from previous ownership. Someone in Japan had a serious screen fetish, AV cables everywhere and video signal amplifiers etc. It was a bit of a mess, and we stripped out as much as we could, but there is still a lot in there to take out.

Oh, and the thread title has been updated to Project Kumo, as that is now the new name for my bus.

Kumo is Japanese for Cloud. Cloud is my favourite character in the Final Fantasy 7 game, also have a massive tattoo of him and Tifa on my arm.

Below is the Kanji symbol for Kumo, which I will have made into a Decal and fitted somewhere appropriate on the bus :)

Got my new horns wired up.

For anyone wondering, the single horn connectors are a common live feed. To fit aftermarket horns you need to earthy them. I daisy chained the two earth's together, and then earthed the horns to where the securing plate bolts to the chassis.

Simple job, but don't assume (like I did) that they are a common earth and provide them with a live feed... You'll spend ages scratching your head and getting nowhere :D

Still, these sound a bit shit. They are loud though. And they look alright tucked behind the grille.

When I'm not living in a shoe box, and my priorities can shift towards the van, I'll start buying nicer things lol.

For now, I needed a horn, as I didn't have one at all.
