Premium Member offer: Free download of Android app DigiHUD Speedometer Pro!

Thanks for all the positive comments folks, it's great to hear.

I'd be interested to hear from anyone running the app on a very recent phone that's got a screen with rounded corners, or with the latest version of Android. Personally I really can't see the point of rounded corners, I mean, TV's dropped rounded corners decades ago!

Apple version pleaseeeeee :(
It is quite an investment to develop for and support IOS alongside Android too...

More importantly, not releasing a good app on IOS can only help showing Apple advocates the error of their ways. There should be grants to support this practice :D

In all honesty I don't get the Apple is so simple / well designed thing. My wife and son both have multiple Apple devices and whenever they ask for some technical help I'm lost. It did used be different, their earlier work (both hardware and software) had something special. I think that era / edge has long passed.

Anyhow, must really try this app - looks great!

I've started working on it, actually a year ago, but it's hard to get motivated to learn something new at the beginning when you're looking up that vertical learning curve. I actually got the Macbook out yesterday and picked it up again. I know I won't be able to add all the features of the Android version due to Apple restrictions but eventually it'll be pretty close.

Joined at last... made it!

Works fine on my Google Pixel 2 running Android 8.1.0

Joining will spur me on to take some pics and post them here. Enjoy the weekend everyone

Pippa asked me the other day how to attach an image to an email on her iPhone. I said "Go to the picture, click "share", select email app, and done"... no... that option was not there. It wouldn't do what she wanted it to do. So I gave up.

Apple software is NOT intuitive at all. Everything is hidden away, very restrictive. Also, Apple stuff does NOT communicate well with anything that isn't Apple. Whereas Android/Windows will interact all day long without any issues.

Android FTW!

Hi all, in order to try and give something back to this fantastic community that's given me so much over the last two years I've decided to offer every Premium Member a free copy of my Android app DigiHUD Speedometer Pro! I'm posting it here to highlight another benefit of becoming a Premium Member..

Thanks man, erm, what is it? It's a GPS speedometer primarily, with a bunch of other features, including a Head-Up Display mode. It's only available for Android currently but I hope to have an iOS version available eventually. The free version has been downloaded by over 12 million people.

Why did you make it? I started the project back in 2012 after seeing a cool speedometer app on an iPhone, and being a programmer by trade I thought I'd build my own. Over the past six years what started as a simple tool for my own amusement grew into a popular free app, which spawned a paid version with a load more features. Neither version has any ads. I hate ads! I still have a lot of plans for it in the future but it's a hobby and I don't have a lot of time to work on it.

How can I find out more about it? Have a look at the app listing in the Google Play store.

Ok then, how do I get it? If you're a Premium Member of EOC send me a private message on here asking for a code. I'll send you a unique promo code that you can apply in the Play Store. This gives you a free download of the Pro version. The app will be linked to the Google account you use for the Play store so you can uninstall and reinstall again in the future without having to 'buy' it again. It's yours free for as long as you use that account, and if you use that account on multiple devices then you can install the app on all of them.

One free copy of the app is available only to Premium Members. Codes can only be requested via private message on the ElgrandOC forum, and I'll try and respond as quickly as I can.
If you've recently bought the Pro version then message me, I'm sure I can sort something out.

Mrchops
I would like this please.

I can try it on an s7 edge if ya want feedback on the rounded screen 🙂

Just wanted to say thanks for this - was buying premium membership as a newbie and I didn't need this to convince me to fork out the $, but it definitely didn't hurt to have a nice prize for doing so!
