Fortunately it won't be my only vehicle. I spend most days out in my company van. Wife has vw touran for her kid runs. So I really am hoping to keep it for trips out. 🙃

Greenlight will request proof of mileage before they proceed with a renewal, usually in the form of a pic of the Speedo ( that’s what I have to send each year)
I’m limited to 6000 ( I do less than 3000 normally)—-£340 ish fully comp ( lots of mods) including the impul ecu and new air intake —-told them these are used to even out mid range power and increase mpg not for power as I’m nearly 60yrs old and not really a boy racer, the lad on the phone Excepted all of this (just hope they remember the conversation should I ever claim lol)

Got to be careful what you say, I spoke to them this morning and to get the discount I said I'm on the Elgrand OC and he said ' yes, I saw your post'!

Yep, but I am nearly 60 and NOT a boy racer
All my mods are either aesthetics or done for comfort and to improve mpg etc (up to now it’s working)
A motor can look good/sound good and perform well without having to be thrashed which is something I’ve never done

Damn, you missed the boat on cheap fast Ford's! I had 2 Capris back in the day, a 2.8i and a 2.8i Brookland special. Both cost me £1250.00!! Wish I had them to sell now. Also had an Escort RS turbo. Escort 1600 sport. Those were the days, "sigh". Pic of TVR for attention lol

For anyone looking to renew their insurance or you are looking at insurance for your pending arrival, check out GreenLight Insurance. I was recommended to them by @Madfish a few months ago when he renewed as they gave him an exceptional quote.

I have now just renewed my insurance with these guys and they knocked a whopping £300 off my renewal quote from Sky Insurance, who have been the cheapest for me for years by at least £200.

The guy to speak to is Dan Kirrage, he's super helpful and will do his best to give you a good quote.

All you need to do in order to get the 15% off is to tell them that you are a member of ElgrandOC. They will then confirm your membership with the club and deduct the discount from your premium.

Just as a side note, we all know that insurance companies seem to be pot luck, what works for one does not work for everyone, but I am quite confident these guys will be competitive.

I'm with Greenwich insurance. Have been for a few years. Curious on how much everyone is paying for their insurance with greenlight? X

£380 with limited mileage 7500 a year. Covers our lpg conversion to.

I'm about the same as above (they love limited mileage)

I might need to stick with direct line then cos i use the paddywaggon as a main car at the min
Try Green light. There may not be too much difference with high mileage 🤷‍♂️
I tried Direct Line, been with them 15 years on one car, and they were £685.
