IMPORTANT NEWS REGARDING BMR (Brian Willoughby)

That's good news that Brian is out of hospital. Take care.
IS Brian out of hospital? I read the best remedy is to be at home but I haven't read that he is out of hospital? The most informative bit of info recently came from @Reverand RobP who quoted Brian's Facebook post, but I don't think Brian was out of hospital when he posted that?

Brian says he’s hoping to be out by the end of the week, so maybe not yet ??

You have been through the mill Brian you seem to have a very positive attitude that's the main thing. Best wishes. 20 odd years ago I was diagnosed with a rare and very dodgy cancer things looked dire. But I thought bollocks to cancer and raised £10000 for Bradford Cancer support and with positive help from friends and family I am still here 23 years later and enjoying life to the full. Thinking of you.

Having only just seen this terrible news about Brian, i want to wish @BMR a speedy recovery.

Knowing what a helpful chap Brian is, i'm sure he will be worrying about helping people out with their orders but take it slow matey and don't rush back!

Take all the time you need and some to come back fully fit!

All the best my friend.

He seems in good spirits but it looks like it'll be a long road to recovery.

Well what a couple of weeks, as some of you know I have been in hospital since 30th July. Whisked off by ambulance with pnumonia which caused sepsis poisoning my kidneys resulting in 48 hour on a kidney dialysis machine looking like a 1950s petrol pump, I have had the indignity of having a catheter fitted, had a blood transfusion, been on an antibiotic drip for 10 days plus they have found on the blood tests I have myeloma which has resulted on me having to endure chemotherapy oh plus had so many x-rays I now glow in the dark and spent over an hour like a pack of polo mints inside an MRI scanner today. Good news is towards the end of this week coming I should be out of hospital and being treated as an out patient.
But life style changes are going to have to come in. From now no heavy lifting, I have been advised not to drag racing (fat chance of me taking that advice). No mountain biking which I was also looking forward to getting back into and no stress.
It's no good asking when things will be back to normal with the Elgrand parts shop as at the moment we are still crunching figures to see if its worth me employing a member of staff to stack and pack items like brake discs, struts and coil overs along with finishing off my new expanded storage bay which is 90% finished. One thing is for sure and that is if I had left it any longer before calling the ambulance you might have all been attending a funeral by now.
Rest assured I will return in some capacity to help you all but it might just be a little slower than before.
Brian. BMR.

Good to hear your on the road to recovery mate!

Sorry to hear this news Brian and hope you are better very soon. You can feel the love from the forum, and although very new to it, sending you my best wishes as well. Tim

LATEST UPDATE FROM ME.
I have been out of hospital for just under a week and been attempting to send out late orders and run the shop with the help of Sue over that time. The chemo despite not making me feel ill like it does to some people i find that after a couple of hours concentration i am exhausted and need to go home to rest. I made my mind up this evening that the parts shop will remain closed during September to allow me to try and fully recover so please dont buy anything (strange request for a business i know) but without rest and no pressure i can see my recovery taking a long time.
Thanks for understanding.
Brian BMR

Makes good sense mate.
You and Sue take it easy and look after yourselves.
I know we are far away but if there is anything we can do for you just shout.
