Right then, now that the website is pretty much how I want it... it's time to start building our club rep.

To do this, we need to get a social scene going. As we are spread out across the UK (and the rest of the world), I'm looking for some Regional Meet Co-ordinators.

If you think you'd be good at rallying up enthusiasm with members in your area, and organising a semi-regular meet, let me know. As a meet organiser, I'll send you a pack of the site business cards (when I get some) so that you can hand them out to any people who show an interest. I will also create a forum section for you to moderate and be in control of. This will be a subsection of the "Regional Meets" forum.

At the moment, I'm looking for Scotland, North East, Yorkshire, Midlands, Wales, London, South East and South West. Some of these areas a pretty big (especially the whole of Scotland and Wales), so we can look to split these up into smaller categories as we progress and get more members. I'll obviously head up the meets in the North East as this is where I am currently based.

The social element of the forum needs to be a big one. It's always great to meet other members in your area so you can bounce ideas off each other, help each other out in times of need, and just to expand your friendship ring.

As we move into 2015 I'll also be looking to arrange attendance at some of the car shows over the summer months. These will again be crucial, and the regional co-ordinators will be key in helping me to organise getting people to the events etc.

It would be great to get some help with this, even if it's not something you've done before.

I'll volunteer for my area...Yorkshire

Excellent, that's one sorted :D

I'm in Notts, and already organise meets for another forum. If no one else local wants to organise then I'm very happy to run meets side-by-side where appropriate.

You want to take on the Midlands area then mate?

Yeah matey I'm up for it :D the Elgrands will look mint along with all the Punks cars, and will hopefully raise the profile of these great vans a little too :D

I'm also organising other events for Combustionpunks, gokart championships, Tech days, Track days, Drift days, that sorta thing which I will also open up to members here. We are a friendly bunch, and there is plenty of passenger seat time at events for people that don't wanna risk their own cars on track or don't have something suitable to take. Its all about the social aspects of the days :D

Perfect mate. I'm sure we'll have a few people here interested in joint 'punks & EOC meets

We have had people come forward to be event coordinators in the Midlands, Yorkshire and the North East. There are a lot of other regions of the UK that are left uncovered.

If you would like to start developing a social scene in your area, and there is no one that has currently come forward, please let me know?

I'll make you a moderator of the relevant forum to be able to keep meet threads clean and tidy. All you will need to do is try to rally up enthusiasm amongst other local members to attend some sort of regular meets.

Meets are not only a great way to get to know your fellow members, but they are also a great way of exchanging information that you might not think to discuss on the forum. They are also vital for a community such as this to thrive.

I'd love to see a couple of people come forward for the South, as this area seems to have a lot of members, so meets could potentially be quite popular. Arranging the meets doesn't take hours of work, all you do is set a date, a place and a time, and get a list going for attendees. It's also useful for the organiser to send contact details to people wanting to attend in case there are any problems on the day (breakdowns, running late, last minute changes etc).

I know there are a few people who have asked about local meets, but unfortunately I can't arrange them myself. I don't have local knowledge of everywhere in the UK, which is the reason behind having regional coordinators.

I will also be able to send the coordinators prizes if they are wanting to run competitions at their local meets. This is usually a good way of tempting people out of their homes to socialise.
