Guys need some help fitting the middle seat back in the 2nd row, the previous owner removed it.

I've had I look on YouTube but I can't find a step by step process.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Did the previous owner take the middle seat runners out?
If not it should be a straight forward matter of bolting it back in place -4 bolts iirc.
If the runners were removed, it gets a bit more involved.

Runners have been removed unfortunately 😕. I had a go it yesterday but got frustrated.... best to walk away at that point 😂

I left my runners in situ, but someone else can have the headache off trying to refit the middle seat is they want it, should I ever sell the Funbus. It took me several hours of huffing and puffing and then reassuring to getting a mechanic to remove said four bolts.

So are the tracks still in the bus and the runners still on the seat

Your have to lift the rails up . There’s a bolt that holds a metal cap on the end of the rails.. remove that and then you can slide the runners into the rail.. use a screw driver to lift the locking mechanism.. once you have the runners in replace the locking bolt and clamp and redux the rail to the floor .. fitting the seats to the runners is straight forward it’s getting the Z linkage from the seat to the locking mechanism on runners is a bit tricky ..

This is why I asked if they were as mine are above
I removed mine with seat runners intact ( no Z linkage removed or touched)
Floor rails left in floor etc

Gotcha you left the seats attached to the runners then just slid them out from the rails after taking locking bolt n cap of one end

Basically yes
Just removed the end caps and rear rail to floor bolts
Removed this pin

lifted both floor rails to clear the carpets etc ( I used broad long chisels )
Then slide the seat straight out —- took ten minutes

Thanks for the info, I'll let you know how it goes. I've got 2 springs that I need to attach which I haven't figured out yet.

I m refitting my middle seat now! It’s fiddly but straightforward. The runners would be a bit of a mare I think . Only the two outside and I m done! Will finish by Friday, ha! Not keen on taking them out again !

Got any pics Dave?

Did I say straight forward ? I LIED , I have now bent te hook to re fit , the ones that lift the lock in the rail.
I ve broken the black plastic retainer that holds the top of the hook in place. The hook drops out every time I lift it.
I can’t seem to load pics, sorry.
Can we get those black plastic retainer’s from Nissan . HELP
I don’t wanna be a mechanic !
This is for the outer 2 seats!

They're actually a common part and called 'door lock rod clips' with lots on eBay/Amazon/etc. so no need to go to an Elgrand specialist. See this example < here > (but no guarantee these are the right size!)

I've used them many times over the years while taking door linkages apart but the reason I struggled with those on the seats was the lack of space to withdraw the rod. I did finally succeed by prising the cam lever out while pushing the rod in but it really shouldn't call for such brutality and had the rod been bent into a 'U' rather than the 'Z' it is it would have been a whole lot easier.

Cheers,
John
