Is that a bargain for one of these then?

Don't be offended just shocked at the price of a 2004 converted van!!

Good luck with the sale buddy

bargain compared to vw prices but it’s top end for e51 I’d guess but without full spec it’s hard to tell. It would be quite easy to spend more building one to your own specs and there would be a 6 month plus delay getting it on the road.

Yep Campervans appear expensive until you try and buld one. And it’s hard to appreciate that it costs so much to squeeze a conversion into an odd shaped van compared to caravan shaped box.

I think it’s the Labour element we forget about.

Any chance of a pic of the under slung gas tank?
No night heater? (That’s probably the first thing I’ll build into mine).

I am finding my pop top quite good at winter camping so far this year, just had two nights in Shropshire and we were more than warm overnight.
It’s only just got below 0 deg C here tonight it’s been very mild so far this autumn. By winter camping I really meant cold enough that without heating all your water and other wet food stuffs would freeze up and you’d be chipping ice of inside of the windows and waiting for the pop top canvas to thor before you can put it down in the morning .... did that in out 1979 Viking & we’re not going back. :p

That is a truly beautiful conversion you have done on this Elgrand. You can see that you have really taken time and love in the workmanship.

Yes £20995 is a bit steep for me but you can see the quality and why it is that price. I have seen some conversions lately around the 19K mark that are nothing as good as what I see on your videos

I’m waiting for spring to sell my camper... they are a hard sell now as winter sets and Christmas expenses get closer. A bit like convertibles used to be before they were almost as well insulated as hard top version.
