If we can’t get a regular mid week meet going (I struggle due to shift work), what about an ad hoc weekend meet, Poolsbrook country park near Chesterfield has large car park areas and a coffee shop, there is a also a good walk around a couple of lakes in case pepole want to bring their four legged friends. Saturday or Sunday, the whole family could join us. Large children’s play area. It would cover some of the South Yorkshire members too. What do people want, please leave comments or suggestions on this thread. Plus it’s free to park.

I don't have a vehicle yet but I would certainly be there to have a chat to you guys and to take a look at your wheels. Poolsbrook is a handy location as it is only a handful of miles off Jct 29A of the M1.

We'll see what interest there is for a meet and even if there are no takers, I'll go anyway as I like this place for walking the dog, plus the Arkwright Arms is just up the road for a quick pint. (Dog friendly, CAMRA Real ales)

Sounds good to me, if I'm free, I would definitely like to come along. Weekdays are a bit difficult for me as I can't guarantee I'll finish on time. But although I do have things on at weekends I tend to know ahead of time if I can make it

I am also interested! Certainly seems that trying to resurrect the meeting as it was is a bit of a dead duck.

Well, here goes....
I am free to meet up either Saturday 2nd or Sunday 3rd April for anyone interested.
Meet up around lunchtime say 1pm, coffee from the cafe and I will bring a cake to go along with a drink.
What day/ cake would people prefer?
I am going to go any day as pooch always needs a walk.
At least during the day we can see each others vans.
Leave any comment for day / time / cake.

I have something on down Oxford way on the Saturday but depending how much I drink at the evening event I might be in a fit state to get up and drive back up if you choose the Sunday.

No problem, never any fun if it's peeing it down.

To all interested, we are still on for Sunday, unless there are six foot snow drifts. 1pm
