Just got this in the post today... I'd been looking for a model for the dashboard for a while but they all seem to be Highway Stars/ambulances. Finally got one for about £35 (from Germany of all places) and it's even a Series 1! Now to figure out how to get it to stay put...

Love it! They've even used the correct woodgrain for the Kenstyle dashboard! lol

For making it stick to the dash I would recommend Sugru. It's a moldable glue.

I've used it in my van recently to great success. I'll share the project I used it for at some point, I just need to take some photos.

Remember to keep the Sugru in the fridge as doing so extends its shelf life (before use).

Hi Lewis,
What scale is that? Been looking for one in 1:32 but most seem to be 1:24

Ok thanks for that, I did think about using glue but don't want to leave any marks/residue if I can help it. I'll look into the Sugru though, thanks!

I did read somewhere on their website that it is possible that, depending on the surface, a slight discolouration may remain if removing the Sugru. You can get it in several different colours so probably best to match the colour to you dash. You can also mix colours together to get a better match. Might take some experimentation and testing.

Just stumbled on this thread, have been trying to track down a series 2 hws in 1/18. Which it appears no model maker offers, however I have found that gt spirit have a page where you recommend what they should make. So go vote, it costs nothing and we may be able to have 1:18 scale miniatures of our s2 e51s
