.ive just had my pop top done by t29 in Blackpool. It was quite the drive from Norfolk!

Just wondering if I should have bare screws showing on the roof. I’m a bit worried about leaks

Fair enough. I will. It just felt that bare screws with a washer on the outside of a pop top was a bad idea. Maybe I’m overreacting?

I don't have a pop top but would think it is normal to have screws showing on outside for the hinges and locks etc, more than likely there's a rubber seal on inside of fitting but as advice just give them a call

I moved a poptop from one Elgrand to another.

They/we obviously have to make holes through the roof to bolt the hinges and struts on. As others have said there will be a rubber seal and/or sealant around the bolts/holes to prevent water ingress through the bolt holes.

Just had a look at the Google Maps reviews - generally good but there is one with lots of photos of installation issues , including apparent countersunk screws sticking proud of basic gate tee hinges? They could possibly use less apparent coloured stainless steel fixings externally and it might be worth changing them when out of warranty.
