Hi all
Rather than go with massive rims with skinny tyres, risking buckling the rims or having a bad ride,
does anyone know if 16" alloys will fit??

i fancy something like these <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.rimluxe.co.uk/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=ST5-GOLD">http://www.rimluxe.co.uk/ProductDetails ... e=ST5-GOLD</a><!-- m -->

cheers

In a nut shell, yes 16 wheels will fit as well as 17 and 18 but as you didn't want low profile tyres you'll not be interested in these other sizes, to keep the rolling circumference the same as standard tyres and to make your speedo accurate we've created a chart to show you all the wheel and tyre size combinations that will keep your speedo correct, see this link

Just took a look at the wheels you posted a link to and they look nice, just make sure they can make them with correct stud pattern and offset and correct size to fit the hubs, plus ask if they will take the weight of an Elgrand as it's nearly 2 tons, if they tick all those boxes than I'd say go for them, just use the guide to get correct size tyres.

Rapper, micky has an E51 so the tyre size chart won't be relevant as that's for an E50. We should make one for the E51 if we can get the standard tyre size.

Not sure what the standard size wheel is on an E51, I think it's 16". You need to be careful to ensure they will fit over the front calipers. I an almost certain that stock wheels on certain models are 16". So you should be fine.

love the style!Im a big fan of deep dish 2piece small diameter wide rims.had a few different classic japanese old school ones on my 280z a few years back.

for tyre size,google miata tyre,that site will calculate difference between your tyre and the tyre.you are.buying.
tare mass for my e51 is 2010kg from my compliance report

The 420 refers to the maximum pressure for the compact spare wheel (Type T155/70D17) - 4.2 bar = 60 PSI = 420 kiloPascals (kPa)
