Looks like my MAF is nearly gone, consumption is 3-4L more than before, but idle still normal. It reads 1.46-1.50V on idle. I found replacement nr. for Maf is 22680-6n21a, but there no stock in UK, only shipping from PRC.
there is similar 5 pin MAf from primera with part number 22680-6n210 and subaru impreza/forester 22680AA290 which share intake with some nissans and e51.
Any of you replaced maf?

This one even cheaper. As long they are 5 Pin ones - they fit. Now doing 25-30km more per tank with new one.

Hi all,

purchased this MAF (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-MICRA-Mk2-Mk3-MASS-AIR-FLOW-METER-SENSOR-MAF-1992-2010-NEW-0280218040-/161634251135?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item25a226f17f">http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-MICRA- ... 25a226f17f</a><!-- m -->) off of ebay and this caused my engine management light to come on.

Anyone know of the unit needed to reset the fault code?

Thanks

It shouldn't throw an error for changing the MAF. I would contact the seller and ask for a replacement.
But you need an OBD-II cable and Nissan Data Scan (I believe) to read the fault codes and reset them.

Thanks Karl - Guy came out to day and reset the fault code (£35). He also confirmed the fault was from the ebay part which is not compatible with the E51. I have sent it back for a full refund. If you look at the picture of this MAF, the resistor on the outside of the unit is missing and hence it will not work.

Just thought I would ley you guys know and stop the same mistake.

That's the problem with some eBay sellers... but at least you got your refund.

I paid £80 for a MAF on an old car, and it made the car drive like a bag of shit. As it was an Electrical item, they wouldn't take it back, but offered to send it back to the manufacturer for testing. If it was proved to be faulty they would replace it. That took 4 weeks, and in the mean time I was supposed to use what exactly? Had to go elsewhere and spend another £90 on a Bosch MAF which worked the same as the original one I took off... expensive way to realise that the MAF WASN'T the problem :(
